Gray Works Crafts is a family run business based out of Tappahannock Virginia, and run from our home in our spare time after our day jobs.
How the name came about
Gary Boyce is affectionately called “The Gray” by his family, and the whole family enjoys crafting in one form or another. So, Gray Works Crafts. The primary makers of Gray Works Crafts are Gary, April, and Chloe.
While we primarily focus on hand crafting Damascus knives, we have a fairly diverse scope of interests.
Who we are
Gary Boyce is a hobby blade smith that loves new tools and creating Damascus knives.
April Boyce (AKA Nay Nay) is Gary’s wife and Chloe’s mother. April enjoys making beaded jewelry, Christmas decorations, and resin casting.
Chloe Martin is April’s and Gary’s daughter and part owner/investor. Her primary focus at the time is making leather knife sheathes, wallets, and other leather based crafts, as well as assisting Gary in with the forging and preparation of knives.
